*What?
Each December, the Bakery Photographic Collective hosts its annual fundraiser, Photo-A-Go-Go. One of Southern Maine’s most anticipated events, Photo-A-Go-Go is a silent auction featuring works from established and emerging photographers at incredible prices. Members, interns and photographers from all over the country donate framed photographic prints that are displayed for viewing and sold via the silent auction. Arguably the largest photo exhibition in the state of Maine, the fundraiser has continued to be a huge success and has allowed the collective to thrive and provide a reliable photographic resource to its members, interns and the Southern Maine photographic community.

WHY HAVING YOUR ARTWORKS SHOT BY A SPECIALIST?
Getting true color fidelity, when it's absolutely required, either on a computer screen or on a print is among the toughest challenges for all photographers. Why? Simple: because colors are interpreted successively by a camera, a film, a computer or a scanner, a screen or a printer. And they are interpreted differently. Professionals use special tools to master those interpretations. These tools are by far too complex for non specialists. On the other hand, good photographers of fine art use special lighting on the artwork in order to avoid reflexion on glossy surfaces and to obtain the same amount and same quality of light everywhere. That's why, even if you can shoot a beautiful landscape by yourself with very good results, you can't get a professional result in your artwork reproduction. And what's worse than not doing justice to your artwork?
HOW A PHOTO SHOOT OF FINE ART WORKS:
-
In one hour, you can have up to 8 artworks shot.
- If you need less than 8 artworks, you pay less: about 50% less for 3
artworks.
- If you have a long drive to reach the studio, you can wait for the retouching
and take back your artworks with your finished CD after the shoot.
- What's on the CD: 2 folders with high resolution files for print and low
resolution files for the web.
- If you prefer I come to your space with the portable studio, ask for a quote.
Prices may vary regarding to the distance.
- If you need archival state of the art prints, or even layouts, no problem. We
can work together on high quality designed posters, brochures and cards. You
will find in our facility high end tools to achieve your goals: calibrated
monitors, professional scanners and a 44" wide Epson 9900 printer.
Warning: Jean-Pierre will be in his studio in France from April, 27 to July, 27/2010.
So, plan your photo shoot before he leaves. Thanks!
